Construction Begins on Kilvey Hill
Construction work is shortly getting underway on the Skyline Swansea Project. This is the next planned step in delivering the development on Kilvey Hill, following the completion of enabling works which started earlier this year.
Soon, we will begin earthworks on Kilvey Hill to prepare the site for the luge tracks. Sustainable Drainage Systems are also being installed, which avoid discharge of stormwater to public networks, maintain and enhance water quality, and support biodiversity on the hill. At Landore Park & Ride, groundworks will shortly begin to prepare the site for the cable car base station.
Public access to Kilvey Hill will be maintained throughout. Fencing will be installed around active worksites to protect the health and safety of workers and the public. Additional signage will be in place across the site, and a map of fencing and current access routes is available here.
The Park & Ride and Penderyn Distillery will remain open as usual, though the number of available parking spaces at the Park & Ride will be reduced while works are underway.
We know that Kilvey Hill matters deeply to the people of Swansea, particularly those in the communities closest to it. We are committed to keeping those communities informed at every stage of the build.
